Description-This room was built by Alfonso VIII (1155-1214) and it a rectangular hall with German style equestrian suits of armour.
-The fireplace room was built by King Phillip II and would be considered as our dining room in the palace. -The Throne room was where the Alfonso spent most of his time. It was one of the first room built and it had the most expensive interior of all the rooms. -Queen Catherine of Lancaster had the Galley room built for her while her son, Juan II, was young. It was shaped to be like a hull of a ship, but when fire in 1862 occurred, most this was destroyed. -The Pine Cone room was shaped like a pine cone with its ceiling resembling a pine cone. It was not known when or who built this room but the ceiling was carved in 1462. -The King's Chamber was where the Kingslept. It had a large walnut bed and brocade woven with gold. -The monarch's room was built in honour of Alfonso X and Enrique IV. It is a large room with portraits and sculptures of many Alfonso’s and Kings. -The name of the Cord Room comes from a Segovia legend about a cord related to Alfonso X, or considered 'the wise'. -The Chapel was one of the first parts of the castle built. It has many old Altars and paintings. One of these are the 17 panels on the walls which have scenes from the New Testament of the Bible. -This part of the building contains all of the weapons and armour of most of Segovia. It is covered in suits of Armour that are hundreds of years old. |

-The Gardens, were built in 1587 by architect Francisco de Morar after the castle was in desperate need of renovation.
